You changed your clocks but did you change the batterys in your smoke detectors? You should check your smoke alarms at a minimum of twice a year and change the batteries.

Did you know?

  • The Tega Cay Fire Department has served this community since 1973
  • Volunteers make up almost 75% - over 750,000 - of all firefighters in the U.S.
  • Our firefighters are trained and certified by the S.C State Fire Academy
  • Many of our members hold additional qualifications such as Arson Investigator, Fire Marshal, First Responder, CPR / AED / First Aid, Rescue Diver, Hazardous Materials Operator, and Extrication Technician

Think..

Are your house numbers visible from the street to Fire, Police, and EMS?
When was the last time you tested your smoke detector?
Does your life depend on it?
